All day comfort, in a seat fit for a king

With a 9000 litre capacity and 36.5m or 48.5m front-mounted aluminium booms, Hardi’s latest addition to the self-propelled sprayer range, the RUBICON certainly takes productivity to a new height.

“The RUBICON can cover 150 ha at 60 litres/ha, representing a 50 percent increase in hectares sprayed compared to a 6000 litre capacity self-propelled,” says Hardi Australia’s self-propelled product manager, Steve Lancaster.

“However it isn’t just the tank and boom size that sets this sprayer apart from the rest - it is the attention to detail of every aspect of the Rubicon that consolidates the significant productivity gains,” says Steve. “Take the Panorama cab for example.”

Rubicon Panorama cab is spacious, uncluttered and with ergonomic features that provide the operator with comfort that is essential for long spraying days. “All-round visibility from this cab is the industry best, with minimal viewing obstruction from a lofty 3.4m height to the boom and nozzles,” says Steve.

Windscreen de-misting vents ensure that the operator never has to experience fogged up windows. Air conditioning and cab pressurisation is delivered through 10 roof and 2 floor mounted, fully adjustable outlets. An active charcoal filtration system delivers high quality air which protects the operator from contaminants while spraying. “An air-ride fully adjustable driver’s seat provides exceptional comfort over rough paddock conditions and ensures fatigue-free spraying. It can be adjusted for weight, height, lumbar, back and leg position,” Steve says.

Joystick and SprayCentre are attached to the driver’s seat and moves in unison with it. The SprayCentre can be adjusted to suit the operator’s requirements. Switches for the transmission, axles, fluid and boom functions are grouped for easy fingertip operation. They are illuminated for night spraying.

The Mueller TOUCHX35 touchscreen controller can be used in landscape or portrait format. Up to five precision functions can be displayed simultaneously in a range of layouts and user interfaces. A compact instructor's seat is large and comfortable, and can fold out of the way with ease.

“The steering column pivots in two places and extends to provide adjustment for the most comfortable driving position. This seat is truly fit for a king,” concludes Steve.
